1The short version
- We hold what you write here, the pictures you add, and a way to post to the accounts you connect.
- We ask each network only for permission to post for you and to show your name.
- We do not read your messages, your followers or anyone else's posts.
- We do not sell or share what we hold, and we show no adverts. A few services help us run Sentworth; section 5 names each one and what it sees.
- You can delete everything from one page, at any time.
2What we hold
To schedule and send your posts, we hold these things and nothing else.
- Your email address, and your name if you give one. If you sign in with Google, the email address and name Google gives us.
- Your password, stored only in scrambled form (a hash) that cannot be turned back into the password.
- Your time zone and your settings, such as which emails you want.
- Your posts, your drafts and the pictures you add to them, and any text you typed into the box on our home page before making an account.
- For each account you connect: its name, its handle and its picture, and the key the network gives us to post for you. Keys are sealed (encrypted) and the key to the seal is kept apart from the database.
- For each post sent: when it went, the link to the live post, the network's own identifier for it, and the network's answer, so we can show you what happened.
- Whether a post was made by you, by an assistant such as Claude or ChatGPT, or by your own program, and that assistant's name.
- Keys you make for your own programs, stored only in scrambled form, with their names and last four characters so you can tell them apart.
- Your plan and its dates, and Stripe's reference numbers for you and your plan. We never see or hold your card number. If you cancel, the answer to the one optional question about why.
- Which browser signed in, and a sign-in cookie that lasts 30 days. We set no other cookie and no advertising tracker.
- Counts of what happens in the product, such as how many posts arrived or did not. These counts never include the text of a post, a picture, an account name or a key.
- Our emails to you and yours to us.
Like every website, the servers that run Sentworth see the internet address (IP address) of each visit. We use it only to keep the service running and safe, and do not keep it with your account.
3What each network lets us do
You connect each account yourself, on the network's own page where it can, and you can withdraw our access there at any time. We ask for the fewest permissions that let us post for you and show the account's name. We store no followers, no messages, no likes or comments, and no one else's posts.
LinkedIn's Allow page asks for three permissions and no more: to learn who you are ("id, name, and profile picture") and to post for you (the permissions openid, profile and w_member_social). We post only to your own profile.
X
X's Allow page shows: "Tweet and Retweet for you.", "Upload media." and "Stay connected to your account until you revoke access." We also read your account's name, handle and picture. We delete what we hold from X within 24 hours of your disconnecting X, deleting your account, or telling us you deleted a post on X.
Bluesky
You give us your handle and an app password, a separate password you make for us in Bluesky's settings. It is not your account password, and you can cancel it there at any time. We keep it sealed.
Telegram
You add our bot, @sentworth_bot, to your channel as an administrator with "Post messages" turned on, and nothing else. The bot posts what you schedule and does not read the channel's messages.
Mastodon
You name your server and allow us on its own page. We ask to publish posts and pictures for you and to read your account's name, handle and picture.
Instagram (through Meta)
When Meta allows us to post for you, you will connect your Instagram professional account on Meta's own page. We will ask only to see the account's name and picture, to find the Instagram account linked to your Facebook Page, and to publish the posts you schedule. We will not read comments, messages or insights.
TikTok
When TikTok allows us to post for you, you will connect on TikTok's own page. We will ask for two permissions: user.info.basic, to show your account's name and picture, and video.upload, to send a video you schedule to your TikTok app as a draft for you to finish there.
If you choose "Continue with Google", Google gives us your email address and name, to sign you in. We keep no Google key and ask for nothing else. Sentworth's use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
4What we never do
- Read your messages, your followers or other people's posts.
- Post anything you did not schedule. On a network where you have switched on "Ask me first", nothing goes out without your yes.
- Like, follow, comment, reply or send messages for you.
- Sell or share anything we hold for advertising, or show adverts.
- Use your posts or pictures to train artificial intelligence. Sentworth does not write posts or make pictures.
5Who else handles it
These companies help us run Sentworth. Each sees only what it needs for its job.
| Company | What it does for us, and what it sees |
|---|---|
| Cloudflare | Runs the website and the program, and stores the database and the pictures. It holds everything listed in section 2. |
| Stripe | Takes payments on its own page. It sees your email address and your card, and keeps payment records as tax law requires. |
| Resend | Sends our emails. It sees your email address and the email itself. |
| Sentry | Tells us when the program breaks. Error reports never contain a post's text, a picture, an email address or a key. |
| PostHog | Counts how the product is used, such as which pages are opened. It never receives a post's text, a picture, an account name or a key. |
| The networks you connect | Receive the posts and pictures you send them, as you asked. |
These companies may process data in the United States and in other countries where they run their services.
6How long we keep it
| Your account, posts, drafts and receipts | Until you delete them or your account. When a plan ends, nothing is deleted. |
|---|---|
| Pictures | 30 days after the post's last send. Never while a post is a draft, scheduled or being sent. The copy on the network stays there. |
| A network's key | Deleted at once when you disconnect that network or delete your account. |
| What a network sent back | Links, identifiers and answers are deleted within 24 hours of your disconnecting that network or deleting your account. |
| Answers from a network we did not recognise | 30 days, so we can fix our side. |
| The database's safety history | Our host keeps a rolling 30-day history of the database so it can be restored after a fault. Anything deleted is gone from it within 30 days. |
| Payment records | Kept by Stripe as long as tax law requires. |
| Counts of use | Weekly totals that name nobody may be kept after an account is deleted. |
7How to delete it
- Everything: sign in, then Settings, then Delete account. Keys are forgotten at once and everything else is deleted within 24 hours.
- One network: sign in, then Accounts, then Disconnect. That deletes what we hold from that network.
- Cannot sign in? Write to support@sentworth.com from the email address of your account. A person will delete it within 2 working days.
- Removed our access in a network's own settings? We delete what we hold from that network within 10 working days. The steps are also on Delete my data.
- Posts already published stay on the networks; delete them there.
